Planting season Ginger
Planting in spring (February or March) when the weather is drizzling, the air humidity is high.

Comprehensively plowing and hoeing soil to scrape, harrow or crush the bed according to contour lines, the size of the bed, length depending on the parcel of land (10-15m), bed surface width from 70-80cm, height of 25cm.

Intercropping under forest canopy, canopy of fruit trees, canopy of industrial trees, forcing to use bags for planting (can make use of cement bags, pineapple bags, plastic bags, nitrogen fertilizers ...)

Cultivation techniques:

Seed treatment before planting: It must be composted, leave the ginger layer intact, stacked in piles to ensure drainage. Spray water into Ginger once every 2 days, cover with 1 layer of cover to keep ginger moisture.
When ginger sprout, cut or split quickly according to ginger. After wound healing, you can spray the herbicide 0.7% or Padan on the bulbs to kill fungi and aphids in Ginger roots before planting.

Note: During the brewing process, ginger should be checked. If it is pressed, it must be removed first.

Depending on the width of the bed surface, each bed can be hoe 2 or 1 slit along the length of 10cm deep bed.
Apply ginger seed along the canal, the distance from the clump is 30-35cm, planted in a bag of 2-3 sprouts, the eye of ginger germs must face upwards, the beds should be planted in 2 slits when placing ginger roots arranged in the shape crocodile fangs (legs braces) along the longitudinal trench, then cover the ginger root with small, fine soil. Press firmly to keep the root from tilting and allow the soil to contact the bulb.
When planting simultaneously, fertilize NPK and organic fertilizer mixture (including manure compost with lime powder, pure phosphorus + smoked soil). The compost is composted for 1-2 months so as not to cause disease.
Remove the mixture of organic fertilizer on both sides of Ginger root from 1-1.5kg / clump, sprinkle along the beds not close to the ginger root, continue singing small soil to fill the bed surface 3-4cm thick from ginger germ.

After planting, cover the bed surface with a layer of straw and rice straw to create porosity, keep moisture, and prevent grass from growing.

Average materials for planting 1 ha of ginger: Ginger seed 3000kg (3 tons), lime powder 200kg, decomposed manure 1500-1800kg, 30kg potassium fertilizer, 65 kg NPK. The amount of fertilizer used for top dressing is 50% (depending on the good and bad soil, adjust the amount of fertilizer accordingly).

Note: Decomposed manure, rice husk ash is the main factor for high yield and quality ginger

Take care of

After planting, if dry, need to water to keep enough moisture for ginger to grow fast, healthy and fat. It is necessary to add straw, straw, and rice husks to prevent grass from growing.

When ginger grows 2 main leaves, soak phosphorus with dilute manure to water the ginger to grow fat and lay good branches.

Ginger starts to branch about 3-4 months after planting, at the time when ginger begins to form, apply decomposed manure + NPK for tubers.

How to fertilize: Shuffle the soil around the outside of the base, remove the fertilizer, cover with the soil thinly, and combine the soil into the base. Do not expose the root to the ground to ensure the quality of the ginger.
If there is grass growing from 4-5cm to remove immediately. Do your best to avoid good grass so that when weeding, the roots of ginger will die. When weeding, combine ginger root.
